RUDY  1996 ~ 2007

Every once in awhile, if we're lucky, we get to share our lives with a very special dog.  Such was the case for Marie Devaney and her very special Rudy.  Rescued as a pup from the Montgomery, Texas Humane Society, Rudy changed not only Marie's life, but the lives of countless Springer Spaniels as well.  For it was because of Rudy that Marie dedicated herself to caring for dozens of foster Springers while they awaited their "forever homes".

There is a slang expression of endearment..."my brother by another mother"...Well, that was Rudy.  He welcomed each foster Springer as a brother,  with his quiet grace, patient demeanor and loving heart.    It was through Springer Rescue that Marie and I met.  And it was "AUntie Marie" that brought Shelby Gomez into my life.  For that I will always be grateful, and we thank Rudy for starting it all. Rudy ~ all of us at Singing Dog Ranch are saddened by your passing.  But our lives are richer because you were here. ~May you run free forever~
